Poor Baby

I love colour.

Rainbows around my home - a beautiful sun-catcher chosen by the boys, some cans and pots covered with felt, a rainbow ribbon that often flickers and flies around the windy garden in the hands of a small boy.

Autumn star made with very careful help from Hugo.

Gorgeous rug from Iran, which reminds me of fire.

Pistachio nuts, which remind me of the colours of leaves outside.

Bright red chillies growing inside for Daddy, and mellow red haw berries outside, against a vivid blue autumn sky

The lush grass this morning.

Poppies sprouting in the garden, and some very bright roses indoors.

But one colour that did not fill me with joy today was some ruby red blood from the baby's lip.  I'm so used to C + H having the odd bump or graze during their daily adventures, yet it took me quite by surprise to see R crawling a few paces before falling flat on his face... his one sharp tooth puncturing his top lip.  Some mummy milk and plenty of humour from his big brothers soon changed his mood, but this Mummy needs to relax and let these things go
