2011: A turning point

2011 was a year of change for our family.  Musing over it all now, we have certainly taken quite a few steps towards a more natural way of life: we’ve bought less “stuff”, recycled and composted more, we’ve been making and mending things, given away almost all of our plastic toys, boycotted unethical companies and favoured fair-trade alternatives, grown our own veg, started to keep chickens, switched to more natural cleaning and body care products, greatly reduced our intake of refined sugar and artificial foods, almost (!) managed to naturally birth our 3rd son, reaffirmed our commitment to conscious attachment parenting, we have resisted preschool and decided on homeschooling, used alternative therapies rather than pharmaceutical drugs and tried to wear less man-made fibres....

2011 will be remembered as a turning point, and who knows what 2012 will bring!

Happy New Year (a little late)
