We continue to be swamped with illness here, but thankfully have now settled into a gentle daily rhythm that doesn't include outdoor time. I was sure we would all get cabin-fever, but the children have been unwell for so long that I really needed to keep them in the warmth, well watered and fed, and with lots of time to cuddle up in bed together. I do love being at home, but know full well that the children thrive outdoors in the clean fresh air with more space and freedom than they have in our house. I am still a bit sad that Rupert has been ill almost constantly since November, and wonder what I could have done to prevent it. He is much happier now though, and the boys have been fighting a bit less, their appetites are returning, moods are more stable, and we are all getting a little more sleep at night. We have been joining together for our 'circle time' each day, and remembering to sing our songs and light candles, being mindful of those little calming touches which had all gone out the window. I hope that it continues, and soon we will all get our colour back. I am utterly useless when they are ill, turning into an anxious whirlwind of worry!
